Privacy Notice — Qriya

Qriya is a QR code scanner and generator that works entirely on your device. This notice is short because there is very little to disclose: Qriya does not collect any data.

What we collect

Nothing. Qriya has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no backend servers. The app makes no network connections. Nothing you scan, create, or type in Qriya ever leaves your device.

What stays on your device

• Scan history and created codes are stored in a local database on your device only. You can delete individual items, or everything at once with "Delete all data" in Settings.
• Preferences (such as language choice) are stored locally on your device.

Uninstalling the app removes all of this data.

Camera

Qriya asks for camera permission for one purpose: scanning QR codes and barcodes you point the camera at. Camera frames are processed on the device in real time and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can also scan images from your photo library instead; those images are read on-device only.

UPI QR codes

Qriya can generate and read standard UPI payment QR codes. Qriya only renders and reads the standard UPI text format — it does not process payments, does not connect to any bank, UPI app, or payment network, and never sees a transaction. Payments happen entirely in whichever UPI app you choose to open.

Sharing and exporting

When you export a QR code (PNG/SVG) or share a scanned result, the content goes through your device's standard share sheet to the app you pick. What happens after that is governed by the receiving app, which you choose.

Links you scan

Qriya never opens a scanned link automatically. You always see the full link with a safety preview first, and links open only when you tap Open — in your device's browser or the relevant app.

Children

Qriya is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this notice

If a future version of Qriya ever changes what data is handled, this notice will be updated before that version ships, and the app's store listings will reflect the change.
