Do I need an account to use Ganakya?
No. Ganakya has no sign-in and no account of any kind. Open the app and start calculating.
Does Ganakya upload my figures anywhere?
No. Ganakya makes no network requests at all. Every calculation — EMI, SIP, FD, RD, PPF, GST, unit and currency conversion — runs entirely on your device.
What calculators does Ganakya include?
EMI (with a full amortization schedule, prepayment what-ifs, and loan comparison), SIP/lumpsum with a year-wise growth table, FD, RD, PPF, GST (with CGST/SGST/IGST split), a unit converter, and a currency converter.
Are the currency conversion rates live?
No. The currency converter uses a fixed, dated set of reference rates bundled with the app, shown with the date they were last updated. They are not live market rates — don't rely on them for time-sensitive transactions.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. Every result is an estimate for planning purposes, based on standard formulas and the numbers you enter. It's not financial, tax, or legal advice, and Ganakya makes no product or lender recommendations. Always verify with your bank or a financial advisor before relying on a figure.
Where is my calculation history stored?
Only on your device, in local storage. You can clear it anytime with Settings → "Delete all data." Uninstalling the app removes everything too.
Is Ganakya available in Hindi?
Yes — Ganakya works in English and Hindi, with dark mode included.
What does the home-screen widget show?
The Quick EMI widget shows your most recently calculated EMI, computed and stored entirely on-device.
